All the passes are valid for up to five persons. The Passes are sold to visitors at £7 for 7 days & £10 for 14 days. There are two Cornwall Resident Passes. The Cornwall Summer Residents Pass, valid between 1st April & 30th September, costing £20 and the Cornwall Resident Winter Pass, valid between 1st October & 31st March, costing £15.

We offer three methods of participation. The 1st and our most desirable option, is for your business to agree to offer our customers a discount. Maybe around 10%! After all it’s not a case of giving away 10% but gaining 90% of something they may not have received!

If you do not feel providing a discount is suitable to your business, there are still two alternatives. The 2nd is simply to assist us in promoting and or selling the product on our behalf, thereby earning a minimum of £1.50 commission for every Pass sold. We simply give you an agreed number of Passs free of charge and periodically collect the proceeds less your commission.

Finally the 3rd option is to purchase the Pass at a mutually agreed reduced rate, to issue as a free welcome gift to your customers. You can choose this option comfortably in the knowledge, the outlay of the Pass is 100% tax deductable, thereby providing an additional service which in reality hasn’t cost your business any money whatsoever. What customer wouldn’t be happy, arriving to discover they can visit the places they had already planned but now many others for less than they had anticipated! It could now mean they are able to enjoy more of what Cornwall has to offer as a result of the money they’ve saved utilising the Pass.

Whichever option you may decide to take up, whether it’s the 1st, 2nd, 3rd or all three, you can do so knowing you can still take advantage of the benefits already highlighted and it’s all free.

What is the Pass?

The Cornwall Tourist Pass, Cornwall Resident Summer Pass & Cornwall Resident Winter Pass will be easily recognized & accepted around various establishments and organisations within the county of Cornwall and is valid for up to five persons including the Pass holder.

Who can purchase the Pass?

Anyone over the age of 16 can purchase the Pass. This does not restrict under 16’s from taking advantage of the benefits of the Pass, but ensures the purchase of the Pass is a responsible one taken in full knowledge and understanding of its terms and use. Only residents who have prroved their residency within Cornwall are permitted to purchase either of the Cornwall Resident Passs.

Is there a cost to the participating business?

No. Simply agree to honour the Pass at your business and persons with a valid Pass can take advantage of your offer.

How will someone find out about my business?

Your business will be advertised on our website in addition to being placed in our brochure, posters and marketing campaigns throughout Cornwall and rest of the UK. The businesses will be divided by category to make it easy for people to find you. We will also provide your business with window stickers so holders and passers by can recognise you are taking part in the program, as well as various marketing campaigns.

What will be advertised?

A full listing will appear on our website in addition to our additional marketing material. Typically, location information such as address, telephone number and email are included as well as a detailed description of both your business and your discount offer. The information you provide is your choice. All we ask is you provide us with as much content i.e. preferred text & imagery as possible.

Is there a minimum discount?

No. There is no required minimum discount. We do recommend the discount or benefit is one that would realistically be deemed by the Pass holders as a worthwhile benefit. For example offering a free cup of tea etc is of no real benefit or interest to most clientele.

How will I know who receives my advertised discount?

People must present their Pass in order to receive the discount. All Passs are clearly marked with expiration dates or valid from & to dates (depending on the Pass) to ensure the Pass is current and valid. We will also supply you with stickers that look like the Passs to help you identify the Passs when presented to you.

When will our benefit start?

As soon as we receive your completed application, we will enter you on our website, and have it “live” online within one week.

How long is my business committed to offering this discount/benefit?

For 365 consecutive days from the date you sign the contract, unless otherwise noted in the agreement.

Unless other arrangements have been made, new benefit providers can expect their offer to be valid until this date. We will contact all of our businesses no later than the 10th month of the current contractual period to remind them of their offer with us and ask for a renewal. This is also an opportunity to change or discontinue your discount/offer.

What if we wish to cancel?

In all cases 30 days written notice is required. This provides us with sufficient time to pull you from the directory. Please email or mail your request. We can sometimes waive the 30 days depending on the circumstances.

What if we wish to amend our offer?

You may change your offer at any time. Please try to give us 30 days notice and email us or call us with the changes. In some circumstances, we can make your change effective immediately.

What if we wish to amend our offer regularly?

For regularly changing offers please contact us to discuss the options. Whether you want the sustained presence of a year-round offer, a short-term seasonal promotion or to provide collateral for giveaways for contests and promotions, we can accommodate any offer you wish to provide to suit your needs.

How much will the Pass cost the consumer?

The Pass is sold to visitors at £7 for 7 days & £10 for 14 days. There are also two Cornwall Resident Passs. Can we use the Passs to electronically track discount uptake?

Not at present. Depending on the success of the scheme, we will look to introduce a Pass with a magnetic stripe encoded with a unique number that can be used to track discount uptake as well as the originating country of the Passholder.
